Well, it's official. Tom Felton has made his Broadway debut as none other than Draco Malfoy. If you've never read or seen Harry Potter and the Cursed Child, you might be curious how the heck 38-year-old Tom Felton could be returning to the role that he made famous as a 13-year-old. In Harry Potter and the Cursed Child, the story follows adult Harry, Ginny, Ron, Hermione, and Draco as their children attend Hogwarts. The story primarily follows Harry and Draco's sons as they struggle to meet their father's expectations, with Harry and Draco serving as supporting characters in their sons' journeys.
This Harry Potter play has been running for nearly a decade, so it's surprising it's taken them this long to stunt-cast a cast member from the films in the play. I'm guessing in this case, Felton was holding out on being cast as Lucius in the HBO series, and only decided to do the play after he knew that wouldn't happen for him. If you would pay good money to see Draco in the flesh, these Harry Potter memes might suit you.
