• We're all adults here, we know the pros and cons of going to the after-party. You could have the most memorable night of your life, or the most annoying. • One time, I met a few friends for a birthday drink, nothing crazy. We just went to the bar our friend was bartending at, and the four of us just hung out and yapped. The birthday girl said she is so tired and probably won't even make it to midnight. Funny last words, because midnight came and went, we sang happy birthday, had five jäger bombs, and all of a sudden it's 4am, and we're helping our bartender friend take the trash out… That was a lovely and unexpected night.

• If you have to wake up early or have work in the morning, then it's totally understandable that you skip the afters. We're old enough not to peer-pressure you. We have outgrown that. You can miss a few afters, there will be more! Sometimes sleeping is the after-party and it is the best party.
