World Cup Champion Lamine Yamal Launches American Collection

Fresh off his World Cup victory in July, Lamine Yamal is bringing his signature streetwear style to the masses.

The 19-year old soccer phenom has teamed with American Eagle on his first exclusive collection for the retailer. The 29-piece lineup, which officially launched Thursday morning, consists of oversized denim. cargo pants, relaxed shirting and streetwear staples. The collection is available to shop on the American Eagle website and at select U.S stores.

“I think everyone can agree that Lamine exudes an increcdible confidence and sense of self, both on and off the field,” American Eagle CMO Craig Brommer tells Variety. “That confidence is what drew us to him as a brand, and something we look for all in our of our talent partners.”

The capsule marks the latest chapter in American Eagle’s five-year partnership with the FC Barcelona and Spanish national team star, who was named the retailer’s first-ever global brand ambassador in January. The deal encompasses multiple campaigns and limited-edition product collaborations.

The debut collection is modelled after Yamal’s own wardrobe: Baggy and ultra-baggy jeans, cargo and carpenter pants, oversized button-downs and workwear jacks. Brommers says the goal was to capture how the athlete already dresses — and “how Gen Z dresses today.”

Yamal helped Spain claim the 2026 FIFA World Cup in July, following trophies he accrued for the 2024 European Championship and back-to-back La Liga titles with Barcelona.

American Eagle was quick to capitalize on the win. After launching its “Ready for the World” campaign with Yamal ahead of the tournament, the retailer temporarily rechristened itself “Lamine’s Eagles,” complete with a logo change and CGI Times Square activation. The company also renamed on of its bestselling denim fits “AE 19,” a nod Yamal’s jersey number.
