Woman Found With Partially Severed Ear At Gangnam Club

A shocking incident at a Gangnam club has prompted a police investigation. According to reports, a woman in her 20s was found with part of her ear severed after visiting a club in Seoul’s Gangnam district during the daytime. She had reportedly been with acquaintances when the incident occurred.

The incident was reported by Joongang Ilbo and spread to online communities on April 30.

Club staff first noticed something was wrong when they saw her bleeding from her ear while intoxicated, and immediately called emergency services. Although first responders provided initial treatment on-site, the woman declined to be taken to the hospital at the time. After returning home, she later realized the severity of her injury and visited a hospital around 4am the next day before filing a police report.

“When I came to my senses, my ear was cut, and I have no memory of how it happened.”

Police are now reviewing CCTV footage from inside the club and questioning individuals who were present at the scene. Authorities are also consulting with medical staff to determine the nature of the injury and how it may have occurred.
