The Only K-Pop Idols Not In BTS Or BLACKPINK On Most Powerful Celebrities List

Recently, Forbes Korea released the “Power Celebrities 40 List,” ranking the top 40 celebrities in the country based on media exposure, social media popularity, scope of appearances, and earnings over the previous year.

BTS ranked first on the list as a group, with the members also securing impressive individual spots: Jin at 6; V at 7; Jungkook at 8; J-Hope at 10; RM at 11; Jimin at 12; and Suga at 18. BLACKPINK as a whole ranked 3rd, with each member of the group landing their own remarkable ranking: Jennie at 16; Lisa at 20; Rosé at 23; and Jisoo at 24.

Outside of the two biggest groups on the planet, a number of other K-Pop idols also secured spots.

BIGBANG’s G-Dragon

G-Dragon is known as one of the most influential K-Pop idols and ranked second overall on the list.

IU’s popularity is an established fact, despite her recent controversies, and she secured 19th.

ASTRO’s Cha Eunwoo

ASTRO‘s Cha Eunwoo is known for his acting and idol work, an impressive combo that landed him in spot 21.

IVE’s Jang Wonyoung

IVE’s Jang Wonyoung has quickly become a recognizable idol with numerous brand deals, earning her a spot at 29. She is also the youngest of the K-Pop idols on the list!

Suzy

Though Suzy has been inactive as a idol, her acting career has remained steady. She ranked in at 31 on the list.

Girls’ Generation’s YoonA

Girls’ Generation‘s YoonA is another idol-actor, who has appeared in some of the year’s biggest dramas including the popular, King The Land. She ranked in at 34.

aespa’s Karina

aespa‘s Karina has become an influential figure with her activities as an idol and she ranked 37 overall.

2PM’s Lee Junho

2PM‘s Lee Junho is another idol-actor who has seen success in his recent works, including King The Land alongside YoonA. He ranked in at 40.
