“Running Man” Changes PDs Again Just After 5 Months

Running Man’s PD Kang Hyung Seon bid farewell to viewers.

The 804th episode of SBS variety show Running Man, aired on the 24th, was a special titled “Why is Running Man Like This?” and attracted attention with Kang Hyung Seon PD’s final greeting alongside the returning production staff.

In the opening, Yoo Jae Suk lifted the mood by mentioning familiar faces. He said, “I see many familiar people,” and warmly welcomed writers Eun Ji, Hyo Im, Seo Rim, and Ye Seul, who returned after a break.

Ji Seok Jin expressed his pleasure, saying, “Who is this? You’re back,” and added, “Your face looks better.” Ji Ye Eun also joined in, commenting, “You’ve lost weight,” adding to the friendly atmosphere.

However, amid the warm reunion, some bittersweet news was shared. Yoo Jae Suk announced, “Today is PD Hyung Seon’s last day. She’s leaving for childbirth,” calling it “a blessing.” The members showed their support with applause.

Running Man announced via on-screen subtitles, “From next week, we will continue to run excitedly with a new PD,” hinting at upcoming changes.

Last December, PD Choi Hyung In, who led Running Man for five years, stepped down due to childbirth. Kang Hyung Seon then joined as her successor but will be taking leave for childbirth after about five months, drawing attention to ongoing changes in the production team.
