KUALA LUMPUR, May 28 — Malaysians will see lower fuel prices this week, with the Ministry of Finance confirming retail adjustments effective May 28 to June 3.
RON97 petrol falls 20 sen to RM4.65 per litre, unsubsidised RON95 slips 15 sen to RM3.92, while diesel in Peninsular Malaysia drops 10 sen to RM4.87. Subsidised fuel prices remain unchanged.
Officials cautioned that the reductions reflect last week’s softer international averages but do not signal relief in global petroleum markets, which remain volatile amid prolonged conflict in West Asia.
The ministry said the government will continue a prudent approach to shield consumers from price swings while ensuring stable supply nationwide.
