Unfortunately, some employers have no issue with adding insult to injury by making sure they get the best value they can out of their investment before they let it go for good. 

In this story, a man working at a marketing company was outraged when his position was eliminated, but he was still expected to train his replacement. He had been told that he was being laid off because of restructuring, and then he found out the younger hire who would take over his position was going to be paid significantly less.

He refused to take part in any direct training, reasoning that it was not something that the company deserved after the way he had been treated. However, this upset his manager, and some of his coworkers felt that he was being unfair. He wanted to know if he was taking things too far.
