About
Performative Kai Cenat refers to memes and posts claiming that Twitch streamer and content creator Kai Cenat is being performative, particularly regarding the content of his second channel, "Kai's Mind," where he attempts to improve himself by reading, working out and learning new skills like sewing.
The accusations of being performative stem from multiple places, including the theory that Cenat doesn't watch anime despite claiming to be a big fan, and the idea that Cenat is recording himself self-improving and making it blatantly visible that he's doing things like reading books. A video of Cenat listening to the entirety of Frank Ocean's album Blonde has also been highlighted as performative. Cenat started the second channel in late December 2025, and the performative memes were popularized online in January 2026 on sites like TikTok.
