They wanted to reschedule the baby shower to accommodate her problematic little brother, but after she paid $7,000 for his traffic violation attorney and spent a lifetime bailing him out, this eldest sister decided to put herself first.
Besides, she already spent $500 on a ticket for herself and her little sister to go to a WWE wrestling match on the baby shower's new date, and they knew that.
It's not very often that we get to treat ourselves to an expensive sporting event, especially a pay-per-view wrestling event that would normally appear on Wrestle Mania Smackdown. However, every once in a while, as adults, we owe it to ourselves to splurge a little. Especially in troubling times, when the world is in chaos, and it seems like a stint of societal frivolity is silly, one must fulfill their dream of going to see a WWE match.
In San Diego, the city in which I was raised, wrestling takes a more Latino influence, and Lucha matches often pop up at outdoor festivals or cultural events. And let me tell you, wrestling matches are fun. Albeit "fake" fighting like the haters always say, going to a live wrestling match, even from the amateurs, is a total blast as a fan in the crowd. So when this woman in this next story finally decided to treat herself to a pair of tickets to see her favorite wrestlers at a live event, it was a dream come true.
Not everyone gets the privilege of seeing their favorite sports stars in action, especially at a world class even like the WWE Chamber Elimination. Non-wrestle fans wouldn't get it, perhaps, so when this woman prioritized her entertainment over a split-second family flop, she caught flak for it.
However, she was arguably in the right to refuse to change her plans. Originally, her brother's newcomer girlfriend's baby shower was supposed to be at the end of March, but to accommodate his delinquent schedule (for which his sister had financed), they changed the date of the shower to the exact same date as the WWE wrestling event.
And as always, the family expected the sister to bend over backwards to accommodate… But this time, she refused.
She was done bailing her brother out of his entitled actions, and although she was thrilled for her upcoming new niece, she just couldn't subjugate her own plans like that. This time, Wrestle Mania turned into family hysteria.
