  • A couple of years ago I was dating someone. We had been dating on/off for nearly 3 years. I always thought that he was a very decent guy, who was a bit avoidant, but that he would never hurt me.

  • We have started seeing each other again and I had made it very clear that he needed to go to therapy and work on his issues. Things were going well and then he suddenly started ghosting me.

  • Some months later I found out that he had been seeing someone behind my back and that was the reason why he ghosted me.

  • I confronted him and he went full DARVO. Blaming me for his actions, threatening me with violence and so on. I kept my cool and left while I told him he was a small person.

  • I was however shaken to my core. He was someone I trusted and I would never have thought him capable of his actions.

  • A few days later something happened and songs just started coming. I could sing, but I had never written songs myself.

  • ...now roughly two years later I just released my debut song and I have an album coming out and I'm stepping into a new career. The career he always wanted.

  • My first song about his betrayal is being played on the radio he listens to and I have just been asked to perform at an event where he will be attending. It's a team sports event that he trains for the entire year.

  • So basically I will get to sing all the songs about him back to him and he will be a captive audience.

  • Also I made the artwork for the album. It's a collage and it features a figure that resembles him enough that he will know it's him, but I can still claim plausible deniability. It portrays him as a man in the clothes of a small boy...

  • I know he's going to be furious, but he'll be unable to say or do anything without outing himself. It's a small community and news would travel fast...

  • Readers quickly rallied behind her, praising both her composure and her ability to transform a painful experience into something powerful. • crsmiami99 Gwen Stefani wrote one of my favorite albums ever after her breakup. You're in good company. Adele also, nearly all of her songs are about past boyfriends.

  • HippieGrandma1... This reminds me of Lindsey Buckingham having to be on stage with his ex, Stevie Nicks, while she sang about their breakup and how awful he treated her.

  • What started as a painful betrayal ultimately became the turning point that reshaped her life. Instead of staying stuck in the past, she built something entirely her own, rooted in creativity and confidence. In the end, the experience did not define her, it elevated her, proving that sometimes the best response is simply moving forward and thriving.
