Alex Garfin is going from Metropolis to Florida.

Garfin has joined the cast of “Wekiwa,” alongside Billy Zane, Kevin Chapman, C.S. Lee and Alex Trumble. He joins in the role of Patrick, which was previously set for Ty Neckar.

“Wekiwa” is in production in Orange County, Florida. Richard L. Anderson, best known as a sound designer on blockbusters like “The Lion King,” “Raiders of the Lost Ark” and “Poltergeist,” wrote and is directing the film. “Wekiwa” is produced by Salomé Breziner and Scott Rosenfelt.

Garfin played Jordan Kent for four seasons on the series “Superman & Lois.” He also voiced Linus in “The Peanuts Movie,” and had roles in series such as “New Amsterdam” and “Law & Order: Special Victims Unit.”

“We could not be more excited to have Alex step into this role, and to be among the first productions through the door on Orange County’s new incentive,” Breziner said in a statement. “Central Florida has given us the locations, the crew, and now the support to make this movie the right way.”

“Wekiwa” is one of the first films to shoot under Orange County, Florida’s new Film and Television Incentive Program. This five-year, $25 million initiative was funded through tourist development tax revenue and was approved by the Board of County Commissioners in November 2025. The program offers locally shot productions a 20% rebate on local spend.

Garfin is repped by Josh Finn at Paradigm, manager Phillip Grenz at Authentic and publicist Lizzie Grubman.
