On May 29, 2026 (KST), Lee Chun Hee appeared on BIGBANG Daesung’s YouTube show alongside Yoon Jong Shin. The episode brought together the former stars of Family Outing for a nostalgic reunion 16 years after the show.

During the episode, Lee Chun Hee was asked what he had been up to lately. The actor revealed that he is currently preparing for the play Beginning, which he described as an adult romance. He also shared that he has been appearing on the variety program Unpredictable, where he helps renovate Kim Sook’s house.

However, Lee Chun Hee jokingly noted that the show is very different from Family Outing. “We don’t play a single game like we did on Family Outing. We just fix the house,” he said, making everyone laugh.

The conversation then turned to Lee Chun Hee’s other long-running passion: woodworking.

Lee Chun Hee has been active as both an actor and carpenter for years, but his dedication to woodworking has apparently become so well known that some people mistakenly assume he stepped away from acting altogether. “I’ve been a carpenter for 13 years now,” he said.

Lee Chun Hee: People all think I retired.

Yoon Jong Shin: Usually, when someone goes into woodworking, people think they have retired!

Although Lee Chun Hee joked about people thinking he had retired, his recent activities prove otherwise. Between preparing for theater, appearing on variety shows, and continuing his 13-year woodworking career, the actor seems to be balancing both entertainment and craftsmanship rather than leaving one behind.
