Ryan Buttlord refers to a series of memes about a child from a viral 2024 candy salad video on TikTok who approaches the candy bowl and says, "My name is Ryan, I brought Nerds," which was popularly misheard as, "My name's Ryan Buttlord," due to the child's soft voice. The segment of the video, which also inspired the Anderdingus memes, saw a resurgence in virality in early 2026 via memes that prop Ryan up as the ultimate candy pourer and pit him against Anderdingus.

On May 11th, 2024, TikToker @tara_3lizbeth posted a now-deleted candy salad video where several kids in a kindergarten class approach an empty bowl, say their names, the candy they've brought to school, then pour it into the bowl. At one moment, a child whose name sounds like "Anderdingus" approaches the bowl. At another point, a child approaches the bowl and says, "My name is Ryan, I brought Nerds," then pours Nerds Gummy Clusters into the bowl. Some viewers mistook Ryan's introduction, thinking he said, "My name's Ryan Buttlord."
On June 30th, 2024, a clip of Ryan pouring the Nerds into the bowl was reuploaded by TikToker @bcoldrodrr65 with the added caption, "My name is ryanbuttlord," garnering over 270,000 views in two years.

Memes about Ryan Buttlord saw a resurgence in early 2026, many of which pit him against Anderdingus.
For example, on January 20th, 2026, TikToker @mattrayshow posted an accuracy reenactment video based on the video, gaining over 2.1 million views in two months.

Anderdingus
Anderdingus is a nickname for a child named Zander who appeared in a viral video on TikTok in which he pours two bags of Sour Patch Kids into a candy salad bowl, first saying what sounds like, "My name is Anderdingus." The video went viral in mid-May 2024, inspiring memes referring to it as well as an outpouring of positivity and ironic positivity towards Anderdingus. Later that month, the video was removed and the uploader, Anderdingus' kindergarten teacher, posted a video criticizing some viewers for being negative in the comments, finding the school she worked at and attempting to get her in trouble, presuming she uploaded the video without the kids' permission, which she denied.
