'Cause We're Playing Bendy or This Next One Might Get You Messy refers to a section of the 2019 song and music video "I'm a Gurkey Turkey" by FGTeeV in which the YouTuber and his son, Mike, sing a song about playing several well-known horror video games, including Bendy and the Ink Machine, with Mike introducing the game to his dad by singing, "This next one might get you messy," his dad responding, "Why?" and Mike continuing, "'cause we're playing Bendy."
The video was uploaded to YouTube in late November 2019 and saw a significant resurgence on TikTok, YouTube and Instagram Reels in late April 2026 as the subject of memes. The memes include brainrot video edits and a lip-dub trend in which participants split their screen in half and play the roles of both FGTeeV and Mike, one on the top and one on the bottom of the screen, while dancing.

On November 30th, 2019, YouTuber FGTeeV posted a music video for a song titled "I'M A GURKEY TURKEY," garnering over 111 million views in seven years. The video is about FGTeeV's, or Duddy's, son Mike introducing him to several popular horror video games at the time, including Granny, Baldi's Basics, Hello, Neighbor and, at the 1:42 timestamp, Bendy and the Ink Machine.

On April 16th, 2026, TikToker @toasty373 posted an edit of the "Bendy" scene where Mike and Duddy's back-and-forth smoothly loops several times in a row, garnering over 6.9 million views in 11 days.

The "Bendy" scene, and in particular, the looping edit by TikToker @toasty373, became the subject of edits and a lip-dub trend on sites including TikTok, YouTube and Instagram Reels in mid-to-late April 2026.
On April 20th, 2026, TikToker @brodyjboling posted a lip dub video where he dances and lip dubs to the remix while playing both the role of Mike and his dad, one on the top and one on the bottom of the screen, garnering over 9.9 million views in a week.
That day, YouTuber Flameslight posted a brainrot edit of the original clip that gained over 205,000 views in the same span of time.

Later that day, TikToker @ykklips, run by Mike from the video, posted a video doing the trend with his dad, garnering over 13.7 million views in four days.
