C.J. Stroud exited the Texans' Week 9 game against the Broncos after getting hit while sliding after a six-yard run in the second quarter.

On third-and-8 with 13:56 left in the second quarter, Stroud ran from the pocket down the middle of the field. He slid and was hit by Kris Abrams-Draine in his midsection.

Stroud's head hit the ground after the hit. He eventually walked off the field with help from the Texans training staff into the blue medical tent. From there, he went to the locker room.

Houston punted on fourth-and-2. Backup Davis Mills started the Texans' next offensive drive.

Stroud was 6-for-10 for 79 yards, and he had two scrambles for 12 yards. He’s coming off a stellar performance in a win over the 49ers last week, when he threw for 318 yards and completed 30 of his 39 passes.
