A Korean star has revealed a striking maternity photoshoot, capturing netizens’ attention.

On April 30, Kim Jang Mi, a contestant on Heart Signal 2, shared a lengthy post on her social media account expressing her feelings about becoming a mother.

She opened up by saying, “Growing up, our living room was dominated by these grand mother-of-pearl cabinets—jagaejang—gifted by my grandfather to my mother when she married my father. They symbolized wealth, prosperity, and the hope for a lasting marriage.”

She continued, “The way I came to see those cabinets mirrors the way I came to see myself as a Korean-American woman: expansive, layered, and shaped by both heritage and hardship. I once feared motherhood for the same reason I feared standing out—that change would make me unrecognizable, that I would no longer feel confident in my own skin. Instead, carrying this child has made me feel honored.”

In the shared maternity photo shoot, Kim Jangmi flaunts her full-term baby bump wearing an underboob outfit. The shot taken with the mother-of-pearl cabinet she mentioned in the background also captured attention.

Kim Jang Mi first gained recognition through Channel A’s dating variety show Heart Signal 2 in 2018, and last October she announced her marriage.
