Applications are now open for the Institute for Law & AI (LawAI) 2026 Summer Research Fellowship. This 10-week paid full-time summer fellowship offers graduate law students, professionals, and academics the opportunity to work at the leading edge of AI, law, and policy. Successful applicants will work across one of three research tracks:
- US Law & Policy
- EU Law
- Legal Frontiers
Summer Research Fellows receive a $1,500–$2,400 stipend per week (depending on program, seniority, and remote/in-person status; equivalent UK/EU amounts) and work closely with LawAI staff at our Cambridge, UK office. We will consider remote candidates.
This fellowship also offers:
- Personalized career support with tailored planning and guidance
- Frequent Q&A sessions with top experts in AI, law, and policy
- Direct engagement opportunities with policymakers, government officials, and industry leaders
- Potential pathways to full-time roles at LawAI or affiliated organizations.
We welcome applications from law students, PhD candidates, and postdoctoral researchers with diverse skill sets, experience levels, and degrees of knowledge in AI law and policy.
