TXT’s Soobin has gone viral after revealing he was scammed by a taxi driver during his trip to the Philippines.

In a recent vlog of his holiday uploaded to the group’s official YouTube channel, Soobin traveled to Cebu with a friend for a vacation. After arriving at the airport, Soobin checked that the fare to his accommodation should be around 300 pesos. However, things quickly took a turn.

A taxi driver initially quoted 500 pesos, and despite failed negotiations, Soobin got into the taxi. During the ride, the driver continued to raise the price, eventually demanding 1000 pesos, claiming it was due to high fuel costs.

In the end, he firmly refused to pay the inflated amount and paid 500 pesos before leaving the taxi. Following the video’s release, the issue gained traction even in the Philippines. The Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board (LTFRB) announced that the driver involved would face a 30-day preventive suspension.
