About
AI Baby Singing or Hachimi Chimichi Mambo Baby refers to an exploitable AI-generated video that went viral on TikTok in April 2026 as a sound and video template featuring the AI Baby, also known as Niche Baby, from a previous meme that emerged in late 2025. The meme uses audio from the song "The Past Can Only Be Remembered" by Taiwanese singer Han Bao Yi, using AI to make it seem as if the black-and-white baby is singing the song. Most of the memes use a green-screen edit of the video and place the AI Baby over their TikTok account pages in an attempt to gain followers and attention.
Origin
The audio is at least partially derived from the intro section of the 1993 song "往事只能回味" or "The Past Can Only Be Remembered" by Taiwanese singer Han Bao Yi, a mainstay of the TikTok platform, which has continued to spread in various trends and contexts throughout the 2020s. A May 31st, 2015, upload to YouTube of the official music video has received over 1 million views in about 10 years.
The second component of the audio is an audio of a young female vocal singing, "Hachimi chimichi, ashita ga ashi. Mambo Mambo Mamambo…"
On March 30th, 2026, TikTok user@goofglitch, a page dedicated to making content focused on the viral AI Baby, posted the earliest known example of the memetic character singing the song, using AI to animate it and make it seem like the baby is singing. The video received over 5.3 million views and 321,800 likes in less than one month.

On April 4th, 2026, TikTok user @.memescreens uploaded a green-screen template of the singing AI baby for use in CapCut. The video has received over 5.1 million views and 167,500 likes in less than one month.
@.memescreens This CapCut template features the viral “Hachimichi Michi Tuff Baby” meme by @luna_versex, paired with the nostalgic Chinese song The Past Can Only Be Recalled (往事只能回味) by Han Baoyi. The trend blends AI-generated baby-style characters with emotional, throwback music, creating a surreal mix of cuteness and nostalgia that has taken over TikTok feeds. Viral edits like this often lean into “brainrot” culture--where exaggerated visuals and oddly emotional audio combine to make highly shareable, addictive content. Use this CapCut template as a green screen reaction over clips where something feels oddly emotional, nostalgic, or dramatically over-the-top in a funny way. It works perfectly for meme edits, reaction videos, and trend posts where the contrast between cute visuals and deep emotion becomes the punchline.
