Two days later, fact-checking site Snopes confirmed the authenticity of the exchange in a November 14th article as well, highlighting that the email was real and not a doctored leak.

Whether Mark Epstein was entirely serious in posing the question to Epstein is a question the internet did not stop to ponder, and people immediately began speculating if this email was the reason the "Epstein Files" were not being released to the public.

How Did Internet Users React To The 'Bubba' Emails?

It's safe to say that reactions to the rumor were nuclear. A photo of Donald Trump and Bill Clinton from back in the year 2000 was shared on the subreddit r/pics by Redditor u/AmbitionOfPhilipJFry with the caption, "Pres Trump celebrates his handling of a big beautiful Bill (09/2000, via Reuters)," gathering over 100,000 upvotes in just a day.

That photo was turned into an AI-generated video where Trump appeared to be patting Bill Clinton's crotch, gaining over 12 million views and 100,000 likes on Twitter.
