This mom has never been uninvited from anything, but there's a first time for everything…

When parents plan their kids' birthday party, they want everything to go as smoothly as possible. There's nothing as heartbreaking as a disappointed child on their birthday, and parents would do just about anything to make sure that doesn't happen. So, they buy all the decorations, preorder a custom-made cake their kid would love, and send out the invitations to all the other children at school and on the block. Everything is set out to be perfect and planned to the T.

That is exactly what happened as the parents of the 8-year-old in the story below planned their son's birthday party. Which is why, when one of the moms of the invited kids RSVPd the day before the birthday party and told the parents she would be bringing two extra kids along, they were not happy about it. The only kid who was invited was her son, Travis, and she wanted his two younger brothers to tag along as well. This led the parent to inform the mom that her two other sons are not invited to the party and that she could only bring Travis. The morning of the party, this upset mom messaged the parents, informing them that they would not be coming to the party, including Travis. She felt it was wrong of them to separate her children, and preferred everyone opt out of the party rather than only bring one kid.

The parents felt bad about the outcome, and now they are wondering whether they did the right thing or if they should have let it slide and allowed the other siblings to attend the party too. At the end of the day, it's their 8-year-old son who is missing a friend at his birthday, while they just wanted it to be perfect for him…
