KUALA LUMPUR, Nov 19 — The Malaysian Meteorological Department (MetMalaysia) has issued a thunderstorm, heavy rain and strong winds warning expected to affect several states until 7pm.

MetMalaysia, in a statement, said bad weather is forecast for Melaka, Negeri Sembilan, and Perak (Manjung, Kinta, Perak Tengah, Kampar, Bagan Datuk, Hilir Perak, Batang Padang, and Muallim).

In Terengganu, the affected areas are Dungun and Kemaman, Pahang (Cameron Highlands, Lipis, Raub, Jerantut, Bentong, Temerloh, Kuantan and Bera), Johor (Tangkak, Segamat and Muar), as well as the Federal Territories of Kuala Lumpur and Putrajaya.

In Sarawak, the severe weather is expected to hit Kuching, Samarahan (Samarahan and Asajaya), Sibu (Sibu), Mukah (Daro and Matu), Kapit (Belaga), Miri (Telang Usan) and Limbang.

In Sabah, the warning covers the interior, the West Coast (Papar, Putatan, Penampang, Kota Kinabalu and Tuaran), Tawau (Tawau, Kunak and Semporna) and Sandakan (Tongod) as well as the Federal Territory of Labuan. — Bernama
