From Single’s Inferno to Heart Signal, dating shows have become viewer-favorite entertainment in the past few years. So, how much do the contestants—who end up sharing a lot of even their most intimate moments with the public—make from appearing on these shows?

Contestant Yun Ha Jeong (or Yoon Ha Jung), now a full-on influencer with 985K followers, appeared on the third season of Netflix‘s Single’s Inferno. She guested on MUSINSA MAGAZINE‘s YouTube channel, where she revealed how much the show has impacted her income.

Before appearing on Single’s Inferno, Yun Ha Jeong worked as an office worker. Following the show, she began paving a new career path as a model and influencer. Noting she gets “four to five ad offers per month,” with 20 being the highest number of ads she has done in a single month, Yun Ha Jeong admitted that the show completely changed her lifestyle.

It’s not something I’m bragging about, but ever since Single’s Inferno, I’ve hardly bought clothes with my own money. I get clothing sponsorships and post photos on social media.

She then responded to host Haha, asking about the differences in income. While she didn’t provide an exact number, Yun Ha Jeong hinted that she now belongs in a whole new tax bracket.

Haha: Compared to when you were an office worker, how many times more do you earn now?

Yun Ha Jeong: About a hundred times more…? When I file my income tax, I pay more than 48%.

As of 2023, Korea’s income tax rate is 45% for taxable income exceeding ₩1.00 billion KRW (about $680,000 USD), so Yun Ha Jeong’s earnings are estimated to be at least ₩1.00 billion KRW (about $680,000 USD), post-Inferno.
