Red Flag? “Single’s Inferno 5” Male Cast Member Sparks Mixed Reactions

Netflix‘s popular Korean dating-reality show is back with a fifth season and new singles who are looking for love on an island.

In the first four episodes, released on January 20, six women and seven men were introduced, including one who is stirring up mixed feelings.

Song Seung Il is a fashion marketing executive who has described himself as being very competitive. So far, he has shown interest in more than one potential love interest, which isn’t surprising; in past seasons, and in most dating shows, contestants usually gravitate to more than one person, especially in the beginning.

However, not everyone is a fan of Song’s actions, with some criticizing him for the same reasons that viewers criticized one of the female cast members, Choi Mina Sue.

That said, viewers are coming to Song’s defense on various social media platforms, pointing out that he has been clear about his feelings from the beginning.

In fact, Song is quickly becoming a fan-favourite, and some viewers are hoping he ends up with athlete Kim Min Ji (also known as Kim Min Gee). The two have amazing chemistry, and this moment really sent their ship sailing!
