KUALA LUMPUR, Nov 2 — The Prime Minister’s Office in a statement said that Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim’s scheduled working visit to Pahang today is cancelled due to health reasons.
The last-minute cancellation was made on the advice of his medical team after the Prime Minister experienced back pain, which limited his movement.
According to his doctor’s advice, the Prime Minister has been recommended to get sufficient rest.
The Prime Minister has extended his deep regrets and apologies especially to the people of Pahang who had prepared to welcome his arrival.
Anwar has of late been on a gruelling schedule involving back to back international meetings and travel.
