It's a new year, and we're still parenting the same old way. Sure, we're evolving with the times. We're learning and growing just like any parent is, but just because the calendar has turned to January doesn't mean we're any more evolved than we usually are. It's been a heck of a time to be a parent. We've shepherded them through all of winter break, only at the cost of our sanity. We bought gifts and took them to see family, and had to endure a lot through that. A lot of sugar highs and holiday lows. The thrill of watching them open up a gift, and then the despair of realizing that you don't have the right batteries to get it running, and none of the stores are open. About as peaceful as it can get, without the chaos of summer or the new beginning of fall. We're settled into a nice winter routine, and we're happy to stay in it for a while. And part of our routine is tweets.
