KUALA LUMPUR, Nov 8 — A 31-year-old man was critically injured after being shot by two suspects at a petrol station in Bukit Tinggi, Klang, late last night.

The incident, which occurred around 11.30pm, went viral on social media after videos showed the victim lying on the ground covered in blood. 

Police vehicles and several officers were seen at the scene to maintain order as the man was later taken to hospital by a medical team.

Kosmo! Online reported that the victim, who sustained gunshot wounds to his abdomen and chest after being hit three times, is being treated at Tengku Ampuan Rahimah Hospital in Klang.

It is understood that he has eight prior criminal records and is currently wanted under the Security Offences (Special Measures) Act 2012 (Sosma).

Klang Selatan District Police Chief Assistant Commissioner Ramli Kasa said further investigations are ongoing.

“A statement will be issued by the Selangor police chief in due course,” he reportedly said.
