KUALA LUMPUR, Nov 9 — Keretapi Tanah Melayu Berhad (KTMB) has confirmed that recovery work to remove a six-car Komuter train set (SCS03) which overshot the end of the track at Platform 4 of Butterworth Station yesterday has been fully completed.
In a statement, KTMB said the operation was carried out safely and passenger train services resumed as normal at 7.51pm yesterday.
“KTMB extends its highest appreciation and thanks to all passengers for their patience, cooperation and understanding throughout the recovery process.
“KTMB remains committed to improving service quality while ensuring passenger safety and comfort remain top priorities,” it said.
The incident occurred at about 6.01am yesterday when the empty train overshot the end of the platform. No injuries were reported.
