KTM Komuter, ETS services resume after Batang Benar-Labu power line repairs

KUALA LUMPUR, Sept 30 — KTM Komuter Klang Valley and ETS services have resumed normal operations after repair works on the overhead power line between Batang Benar and Labu were completed at 1.41pm today, Keretapi Tanah Melayu Berhad (KTMB) said.

In a statement, KTMB said KTM Komuter and ETS services on the Pulau Sebang-Batu Caves-Pulau Sebang route were operating as usual, although some ETS journeys could still face temporary delays as train movements and schedules are readjusted.

KTMB thanked passengers for their patience and apologised for the inconvenience caused by the disruption.

Earlier today, Malay Mail reported that services were disrupted from 6.24am after a 25kV overhead power line between Batang Benar and Labu was severed.

Preliminary checks indicated that an animal was suspected of coming into contact with both a live wire and an earth wire, triggering the electrical fault.
