KUALA LUMPUR, Nov 4 — The progress of the Budi Madani RON95 (Budi95) programme and Malaysia’s achievements as Asean Chair in 2025 are among the matters scheduled for discussion at the Dewan Rakyat sitting today.
According to the Order Paper published on Parliament’s official website, Syerleena Abdul Rashid (PH-Bukit Bendera) will ask the Prime Minister to provide an update on the first month’s progress of the targeted RON95 fuel subsidy initiative during the Ministers’ Question Time session.
She is also expected to seek clarification on the measures taken by the government to resolve issues affecting specific groups, particularly airport taxi drivers, e-hailing drivers and river boat operators, regarding their eligibility under Budi95.
During the same session, Datuk Dr Ku Abd Rahman Ku Ismail (PN-Kubang Pasu) will ask about the successes and benefits reaped by Malaysia as the Asean Chair in 2025, as well as the outcomes of the recent Apec Economic Leaders’ Meeting in South Korea, which was attended by Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim.
Also on the agenda, Wong Chen (PH-Subang) will ask whether the Foreign Ministry plans to hold a meeting with other Asean member states to discuss fundraising efforts for Rohingya refugees in Cox’s Bazar, Bangladesh.
After the question-and-answer session, the Dewan Rakyat sitting will continue with the winding-up debate on the Supply Bill (Budget) 2026 at the policy stage by the relevant ministries.
