EVAN’s Reaction To Being Called Heeseung At First Solo Schedule Is Going Viral

On April 22, former ENHYPEN member Heeseung made his first public appearance as a soloist under his new stage name, EVAN.

He attended a photo call for color contact lens brand Qrsessed at the Musinsa Megastore in Seongsu.

The event drew mixed reactions. Some fans showed up with their support, while other netizens were very critical of his visuals on the day. However, one moment cut through all the noise.

Throughout the photo call, several reporters kept calling him “Heeseung” — the name he left behind when he departed ENHYPEN.

Rather than correcting them or brushing them off, EVAN turned around, smiled, and greeted every single one of them. The clip went viral, racking up over 100,000 views.

It hit fans hard. Many pointed out that he had previously said people could call him either Heeseung or EVAN, and seeing him respond so warmly to his old name made that feel real. For many ENGENEs still processing his departure, the moment was a lot to take in.
