Subsequently, and despite what was believed, the group returned in 2022 and 2024 with albums and fan concerts, becoming an unexpected dream for many K-Pop fans. Usually, when a group’s contract with an agency ends, and all members depart, it is rare to see them reunite as a whole.

Often, obstacles from their former agency can stand in the way, such as a refusal to transfer legal rights, leading groups to operate under a different name.

To celebrate their 15th anniversary, BOYFRIEND has announced a Korean comeback, their first in several years, along with the 2026 Boyfriend Fan Concert: Our 15th Season.

While the complete logistics are not entirely known, BOYFRIEND’s comeback marks them as one of two groups to leave their company, return with all debut members and their original name.
