It's rarely a wise idea to mess with the people responsible for something that you have paid a lot of money for.

After all, they are the ones who have the power to make sure that it never reaches your hands in one piece. For all that people love to complain about the skills and timing of all different kinds of delivery drivers, their ultimate responsibility is that precious cargo that any customer wants to arrive safe and sound. A little kindness towards them goes a long way.

On the other hand, those who choose to act entitled and get an attitude can find that it does not, in fact, magically make their parcel appear on their doorstep any faster. Delivery can sometimes be a pretty stressful job, and customers who add to that stress are not exactly going to be a welcome addition. Sometimes directions are wrong, or things come up that mean they cannot be as punctual. It is frustrating, and at times, it is worthy of an official complaint. In most cases, though, it is important to have patience and understanding. The alternative may wind up being something that is even less enjoyable than a late delivery.
