About

Hello, It's Me Crewmate is a series of memes, including video edits, based on a clip of YouTuber elisocray having a phone call with a green crewmate from the video game Among Us, who explains their role in the game in detail and tries to figure out whether elisocray is a human or an imposter. The clip started spreading on YouTube as early as February 2021 and had a resurgence in virality on TikTok in late April 2026 as the subject of edits, including animations and memes that reinterprate the clip through footage from movies and TV shows. The clip's audio also became the subject of lip-dub videos, where it is used to represent having awkward conversations with someone.

This is the second Among Us-related meme inspired by elisocray, whose 2020 3AM Challenge video, titled "CALLING AMONG US IMPOSTER AT 3AM (ANSWERED) HE CAME TO MY HOUSE OMG!" became the subject of ironic Among Us memes known as, "Hello Is This the Imposter From Among Us?" in 2021.

Origin

On February 27th, 2021, YouTuber OrangeMan0 uploaded a clip of elisocray, taken from an unknown and seemingly unavailable video, talking on the phone with a green crewmate from Among Us. The crewmate says, "Hello, it's me crewmate," before going on a lengthy rant about its role in the game and asking if elisocray is a crewmate or an imposter. The video gained 1,700 views in five years.

On April 17th, 2021, YouTuber Zavin Ontiveros posted a longer, higher-quality version of the scene that continues on to show elisocray having a conversation about space and the Earth with the crewmate, garnering over 20,800 views in five years.
