5th Gen Idol Sneaks Out Of Restaurant Due To Expensive Prices

A 5th gen idol is going viral after sharing a hilariously relatable story about high prices overseas. KickFlip’s Kyehoon recently opened up to fans about his time in the U.S., admitting that the cost of living caught him completely off guard.

He shared that while he had many things he wanted to try, he quickly realized how expensive everything was, especially food. Instead of dining out, he revealed that he ended up buying relatively cheap pork belly from a supermarket and grilling it at his hotel with fellow member Donghwa.

“There was so much I wanted to do. Wow, but the prices in America are no joke. That’s why Donghwa and I ended up buying some cheap samgyupsal from the mart in the evening and grilled it in the hotel. LOL.”

They had tried to eat out at a KBBQ place, but ended up shocked by the prices. Rather than ordering, he came up with a quick escape plan. He snuck out of the restaurant after that!

“I went into a KBBQ place with Donghwa, but they were charging ₩60,000 KRW (about $40.90 USD) for one portion, so I pretended to take a call and came right out. I told Donghwa, ‘hyung will leave first, so you should just follow me on your own.’ It’s America, so I was like ‘Sup bro long time no see’ as I pretended to be on a call and left. America is so expensive.”
