5th Gen Idol Hit With Backlash Over Startling Racism Towards South Asians

Ampers&One member Brian is currently facing criticism after a past controversy resurfaced.

In 2022, Brian competed on the survival show Boys Planet, but was eliminated before the final episode, ultimately ranking 32nd. It was during the show that Brian’s comments first surfaced.

A clip of the idol showed a written list of things he was not allowed to do, including “can’t date Indians.”

This was recently brought up in another post, where someone questioned why he wrote what he did, bringing attention to it once again.

Some have questioned why the issue was brought up again, offering explanations including that the written list was influenced by his parents and that their views do not necessarily represent his own.

However, many felt that this was an example of how racism towards South Asians is. Many commented that even though the issue was in the past, it should still be addressed at this point in Brian’s career.
