This month, the 50-year-old singer and performer from Nagoya, Japan marked 30 years since her debut in 1996, a milestone that highlights not just longevity but an unwavering commitment to a signature style some might have expected her to leave behind.

Born in 1975, Morishita began her journey in the entertainment industry as a teenager.
