RIIZE‘s Anton is facing backlash after calling out a fan on Bubble for attending an official public schedule where his mother, veteran actress Shim Hye Jin, appeared.

One of Anton’s fans filmed the actress arriving at the awards ceremony — an event that had been officially announced weeks in advance — and shared the footage online.

The post then seemingly reached Anton, who clearly considered it inappropriate, as shown in his message sent on Bubble after the footage was shared: “Why did you even follow my family there?”

The fan account went private and issued an apology after receiving heavy criticism. But then Anton’s message itself became a hot topic and sparked a personality controversy.

A viral tweet called the reaction “kind of funny,” noting that Anton’s celebrity parents were actively used for publicity during his debut.
Look at Anton on Bubble, calling out his own fan.
His mother isn’t even a “regular person.” She’s a 30-year veteran actress. What’s the problem with going to an official schedule..?
At debut they even used his parents’ fame for publicity, it’s just kind of funny.

His reaction also gained attention on TheQoo with thousands of views, where hundreds of comments piled on.
| TheQoo- “He’s talked so much about his family before lol Anton is scary.”
- “What…? She’s not a civilian, it’s an official schedule for a celebrity.”
- “I wish people would stop causing chaos on paid apps. Fans on Bubble aren’t even all like that.”
- “She’s not a civilian… it was an official event.”
- “They used his identity as the son of a celebrity for promotion. This is kind of funny. And now he’s using a paid fan app to indirectly call someone out? Must be nice.”
- “It’s not like they followed her in some creepy private setting lol. Then tell your mother not to go to schedules…”
